Rowing Lower Body
Rowing is one of the few sports that have been practiced consistently for thousands of years. From an onlookers point of view this ancient sport requires no additional flexibility training. However improved flexibility can benefit the rowers in two very important ways. Kinesilogical stretches take the muscle further, than full flexion of the hip, because they rely on the kinesiology of the muscle and not on it's biomechanical relationship to the skill. At the same time, kineisological stretching techniques use action vs action lengthening of the muscle. This allow to avoid the pain of the stretch reflex and develop flexibility quickly.
Overhead Shoulder Flexibility
Since a downward arm movement is very powerful, many muscles work in various ranges. They all need to be stretched properly. Majority of athletes try to get the overhead movement by pulling the arm overhead or worst behind the head, as hard as they can. This is rather painful and more often than not causes chronic inflammation in various tissues, including biceps tendon and suprispinatus tendon. Our proven program isolates each muscle of the shoulder joint and of the shoulder girdle. Every muscle action is used against it's own action to quickly create space.
