How to Achieve a Split

The Zaichik Stretching Method:

  • Isolates muscles actions one by one.
  • Takes care of the ones that are tighter first.
  • Allows easier focus since you are working on one specific area at a time.
  • No pushing or bouncing is necessary, not even a partner.
  • Pain is not present at all.
  • Totally safe, since it was designed according to what is natural for the body.
  • Gains are permanent and steady.
  • It is very enjoyable to do, and feels more like a workout
  • Results are visible right away since the stretch reflex is avoided.

#2 - True Front Split Beginner Program

A True Front Split is one of the two front split variations. The True Front Split is achieved by moving the straight legs in opposite directions, while the hips remain squared.

While some people consider an Open Front Split more challenging, the majority of the people who do the Open variation, have difficulty with this one.

#3 - Open Front Split Beginner Program

Open Front Split is a technical terms for various sports and athletic activities. Where the skill is a side split or an open front split depends mainly on the rotation of the supporting leg. In the sport of Figure Skating this position is called the I-Spin or the Y-Spin. In Cheerleading it's named the Heel Stretch or Bow and Arrow for the Flyer. Other disciplines such as Yoga, Dance, Martial Arts and Gymnastics often employ this position.

Open Front Split is a front split variation, which relied on the flexibility of the inner thighs first and hamstrings. It requires the hips to be one in front of the other. This split is often compared to the True Front Split, where the hips are squared.

The Zaichik Stretching Method effectiveness relies on several principles, one of which is the "target and leverage" approach explained in the videos above, another being "isolation of muscles" that facilitate the technique, a split in this case.

Our job consists of kinesiologically analyzing each position, so having studied the side split we broke it down into manageable units, and we designed a program to release one by one all of the muscles involved. The end result for the practitioner is a complete feeling of freedom and no pain at all while doing a split.
